Bacterial Digestant Products

BACTERIAL DIGESTION

Bacterial Digestion is the process of bacteria consuming organic matter. Bacteria feed on organic waste, deriving nutrition for growth and reproduction. Using complex chemical reactions, the organic waste is metabolized down to water and carbon dioxide, providing the bacteria with enough energy to sustain their life.

BACTERIAL DIGESTANT PRODUCTS

Bacterial Digestants are products that use Friendly Bacteria to attack organic waste wherever it occurs. They are also known as Biological Products. Bacterial digestants are especially useful for eliminating organic odors and stains from carpets, fabrics and any surface not harmed by water. They also work great at eliminating odors and digesting wastes in RV holding tanks, plumbing and septic systems.

These organic materials accumulate at various places in the community. If not properly eliminated, they can and will cause damage and can be expensive to eliminate. Bacterial Digestants eliminate organic wastes by breaking them down and converting the organic material into carbon dioxide and water.

BACTERIAL DIGESTANT COMPONENTS

To be effective, three components must be present in bacterial digestants: Bacteria Cultures, Enzymes and Essential Nutrients. Correctly combining these three elements promotes the quick decomposition of waste with no offensive odors. However, if one of these components is missing the bacterial digestant may not be as effective at eliminating organic waste. Each of these components play an important role in promoting fast, efficient elimination of organic waste.

HOW BACTERIAL DIGESTANTS WORK

The basic principle behind Bacterial Digestant Products is Mother Natures natural decomposition process. In nature, bacteria need time to adjust to their environment before they can reproduce and begin to digest organic waste. Bacterial digestants just speed up this natural decaying process, safely and without odors or noxious gases. However, for fast decomposition of organic wastes, the product you select must have the correct combination of bacteria, enzymes and essential nutrients necessary to jump start the bacteria into the digestion process.

BACTERIA SELECTION

The bacteria contained in Bacterial Digestant Products must be carefully selected, Beneficial Bacteria (Friendly Bacteria) that occur in the environment. The best bacteria are of the Bacillus species and are able to consume waste in both the aerobic (requires oxygen to live) and anaerobic (doesn't require oxygen to live) conditions.

ENZYMES

Enzymes are chemical additives that break up complex waste molecules into small, simple pieces that can be digested directly by the bacteria. With the help of enzymes, bacteria can reproduce and consume organic waste particles immediately, resulting in the fast, complete digestion of organic waste.

ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS

Essential Nutrients may not occur naturally in waste and a lack of these nutrients may seriously inhibit the bacteria's growth and reproduction. Essential nutrients are added to the best bacterial digestants. They are like the vitamins and minerals that the human body uses.
